Lost in Folsom
On most mornings, I grab a diet coke and a Luna Bar and head up to my home office to start the day. When it is early, I can check the MLS for new listings, respond to emails that came in overnight etc.
This morning as I am checking out the new listings of homes for sale in Folsom on the MLS, I see one in the area I have a couple of clients interested in. I read through the page and notice that the directions to the home are totally incorrect. Not, just not the way I would go, but you can't get there from here. The agent had people going to a street that not only does not connect to the street the listing is on, it is in a different town/county! To be fair, they are close to each other, but really! Shame on this agent for not caring enough to put down accurate directions.
While I am on my rant about agents that don't give a darn. Last week I was previewing homes for clients coming in over the weekend. I was in the El Dorado Hills area known as Serrano. Those homes are "gated" and you need to get the code to drive in. Most of the time the agents will have the code listed in the private remarks. If not, you call ahead and ask for the code. I called ahead on Thursday, and mentioned that I would be showing clients on Saturday and would need the gate code by then. I am still waiting for that return call.
I just felt like sharing just a bit of what I see out there. If you are planning on putting your home on the market, I would make sure the agent that you pick has a map and a phone!
